Mr. Ben Zhang, age 50, of Frisco, Texas passed away on January 28, 2014 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on March 15, 1963 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province of China to Wensheng Zhang and Xin Ma. On February 14, 1992, Ben married Ming Zhou in Shanghai, China. Ben was a well respected Food Processing Engineer in the food and beverage industry.

Ben was confirmed in his Christian faith in November, 2011 and attended Frisco Community Bible Church. He graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Food Science from University of Guelph, Canada in 1998 and joined National Food Processors Association in 1999. Starting 2002, Ben worked as a Research Scientist at Hormel Foods in Minnesota for 5 years and since 2007 he had been a Senior Principal Engineer at PepsiCo-Frito Lay (Plano). In his spare time, Ben enjoyed running and watching football games.

Ben is survived by his wife, Ming Zhou of Frisco, Texas; two sons, Jonathan Zhang and Matthew Zhang.

Ben is preceded in death by his father, Wensheng Zhang and mother, Xin Ma.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 2525 Central Expy N, Allen, TX 75013.
