Yvonne Elizabeth Hoover, a resident of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born to Marlin and Mildred (Heminger) Yanosch in Zerbe, Pennsylvania, on February 9, 1929. Yvonne grew up in Williamstown, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Williamstown Catholic High School, laying the foundation for a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
On October 28, 1950, Yvonne married the love of her life, Eugene Hoover, in Williamstown, Pennsylvania. As a dedicated homemaker, Yvonne devoted her life to raising her children and creating a loving home for her family. Her unconditional love for her children was continuously present and was the cornerstone of her family’s strength and unity.
Yvonne had a passion for words and was an avid solver of crossword puzzles and various word games. Her intellectual pursuits brought joy to her life and kept her mind sharp.
Yvonne is survived by her devoted children: Robert Hoover of West Grove, Pennsylvania; Joseph Hoover and wife, Karen, of Abilene, Texas; Jacki DeBauge and husband, Steve, of Dallas, Texas; and Jim Hoover of Ft. Collins, Colorado. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Nicholas Hoover, Katherine Rinewalt, Marisa Oldham, Eli Hoover, Ben DeBauge, and Caitlin DeBauge, as well as her seven great-grandchildren. Yvonne is also survived by her brother, Dennis Raho, and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Mildred Yanosch; her beloved husband, Eugene Hoover; her daughter, Jane Hoover; her grandson, Carson DeBauge; her sisters, Marian Malick, Martha Davis, and Carole Hulvey; and her daughter-in-law, Regina Hoover.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75225.
