Yuko (Shibamura) Luhrs, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, to Toshiko (Ishise) and Osamu Shibamura. Yuko earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. She went to work for Harris Semiconductor in Tokyo Japan and was transferred to Melbourne, Florida, where she met her future husband. Yuko married Larry Lee Luhrs II in Pensacola, Florida, on October 24, 1992, at Trinity Presbyterian Church and they were blessed with two daughters. After marriage, the couple moved to San Jose, California, in 1992. In 2006 the family moved to Frisco, Texas. Yuko worked for Frisco ISD in Child Nutrition as the Cafeteria Manager at Liscano Elementary School. They attended Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Plano. Yuko was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Yuko is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Lee Luhrs II; her daughters, Alyssa Luhrs of Frisco, Texas, and Victoria Luhrs of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her sister, Junko Shibamura; and her brother, Masanori Shibamura and family, both of Tokyo, Japan.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. The family invites you to attend a reception that will follow.
