Yesenia Carolina Zepeda, also known as Caroline Cormier, of Plano, Texas passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 45. She was born on June 27, 1980, to Humberto Noel Zepeda and Marina Lopez in San Salvador, El Salvador.
A long-time resident of Plano, Texas, since moving there in 1986, Caroline graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 1999 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology from Texas State University in 2006 driven by a lifelong desire to be a social worker and help others.
Throughout her career, she brought her trademark dedication and honorable work ethic to her work at Bank of America and over a 20-year career with Walmart, including the last 10 years at the Lucas location. It was through Walmart that she met her husband, Trevor Cormier, whom she married in Plano on October 13, 2018.
Remembered by family and friends for her admirable resilience, strength, kindness, grace, and unwavering faith in God through all of life's trials, Caroline loved making people laugh with her wit and silly sense of humor, attending concerts with Trevor to see bands like Flyleaf and Lacey Sturm, and spending time with her cherished "pup kids," Luna and Echo. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by Trevor, her family, and all who knew her.
Over the years, Caroline was embraced and loved by Harold and Cristina Hilliard of Plano, Texas; Susan Chemirmir of Plano, Texas; Jessica Iga and husband, Patrick, of Plano, Texas; Shelli Beshears and husband, Jarrett of Little Elm, Texas who became her family through the years of friendship, care, and unwavering support.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Trevor Cormier of Plano, Texas; brother, Humberto Enrique Zepeda and wife, Ursula, of El Salvador; sister, Karla Marina Combs and husband, Zach, of Fort Worth, Texas; nephews, Humberto Zepeda III and Gabriel Combs; niece, Kaitlyn Combs and a host of other family and friends.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Chase Oaks Church, 281 Legacy Dr, Plano, Texas 75023. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
