IN LOVING MEMORY

Wraychel "Wray" Ellouise Bell

Sep 07 1990 - May 29 2024

Wraychel “Wray” Ellouise Bell, age 33, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2024, in McKinney, Texas. She was born on September 7, 1990, to Katherine (Fangue) and Willie Fobbs in Houston, Texas. On July 27, 2013, Wray married her high school sweetheart, Juan Demetris Bell Jr., in Duncanville, Texas.

From a young age, Wray exhibited remarkable creativity, excelling in drawing, and writing poems and stories.  She deeply loved nature and animals, often spending her childhood exploring the outdoors and caring for her pets (often finding new ones). Wray attended Duncanville High School, where she met Juan during a bible study in the Fall of 2008, and graduated shortly after that in 2009. She continued her education at Mountain View College, earning her associate degree, and was pursuing a Film Degree at the University of North Texas.

Wray’s career was marked by her dedication to helping others. She began her journey as a work adjustment trainer at Goodwill, assisting employees with mental health disabilities. She then served as a Special Education Aide at Central High School, working with students on the autism spectrum. Wray also taught swimming to children at Emler Swim School before establishing her own private swim school during the summer.

It was also during this time, after experiencing a near-death experience, that Wray rededicated her life to Christ. She was baptized and found a spiritual home at The Village Church Denton. For nearly ten years, she served with a heart full of faith and devotion, contributing to the children's ministry, and leading home groups and small groups with other women at the church. Her deep spiritual commitment led to the formation of lifelong friendships and the profound impact she had on the lives of those she ministered to, reflecting the love and grace of Christ in all she did.

Wray's family and friends were the center of her world. She loved dining out with her family, particularly enjoying ramen and Korean BBQ, and frequent trips to HMart. Her love for the outdoors led to camping and hiking trips with her family. A movie buff, she cherished watching films, especially horror movies, a tradition she started with her father. Her love for playing her favorite video games has been passed on to both of her girls. Summers were spent swimming, and she took great joy in regularly taking her children to the pool. Her passion for crafting resulted in the most amazing school projects for the girls, and she was her daughter's biggest cheerleader, celebrating their achievements with boundless enthusiasm. Wray's home was always beautifully decorated for holidays, because she always wanted to create a magical atmosphere for her children.

Wray is survived by her beloved husband of 10 years, Juan Bell Jr.; her cherished children who were her pride and joy, Harper Bell, and Colbi Rae Bell; her loving mother, Katherine Fobbs; her dear siblings, Whitley Fobbs, Kevin Fobbs, and Stephanie Cartwright (Cousin-sister); her treasured niece, Alisha Fobbs; and her adored nephew, Major Miles; her godparents, Dwight and Ella Cartwright; her sisters-in-law, Eboni Bell and Amariah Bell; and her mothers-in-law, Karen Bell and Keturah Bell; and her father-in-law, Juan Bell Sr. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Fobbs earlier this year.

Wray will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving, kind, and energetic spirit who connected effortlessly with people from all walks of life. Her generosity knew no bounds; on more than one occasion she gave the jacket off her back to help others, that’s just who she was.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at The Village Church Denton, 1106 W. Oak Street, Denton, Texas 76201, beginning at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with interment for close friends and family to follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wray's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and helping others.

Wray’s radiant laugh, compassionate heart, and boundless generosity will live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
