Mr. Winfred (Wimpy) Boren, age 72, of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 5, 2004, in McKinney. He was born on November 5, 1931, in Quanah, Texas to Grady Lee and Mary Irene (Ford) Boren. He married Patricia Gail Roberts on February 6, 1952, in Rockwall, Texas. Mr. Boren retired from Mrs. Baird’s Bread Company after 17 years of service. He also was owner of B&C Construction Cleaning Company for 16 years. At the time of death he was employed as a bus driver for Plano ISD for 12 years. He was a member of the Waddill Street Baptist Church. Mr. Boren was formerly a member of the Foote Baptist Church and Parkway Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pat Boren of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Pam Caldwell and husband, George of Plano, Texas and Lea Ann Rhodes of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Tanner Caldwell, Traci Caldwell, Trent Caldwell all of Plano, Texas, Addrianne Stephens and husband, Eric of Cherry Point, North Carolina and Talon Rhodes of McKinney, Texas; brothers, James Boren and wife, Ann of McKinney, Texas and Grady (Pinky) Boren and wife, Gaylan also of McKinney; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Mr. Boren was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruby Russell and Mary Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. James Bond and Jerry Weems officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Waddill Street Baptist Church summer mission fund.
