Wilma Bunch Jenkins

Wilma Bunch Jenkins was born on February 3, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma to Loyd and Edna Bunch.  She married JT Jenkins on December 6, 1941.  Wilma passed away peacefully in her home in Blue Ridge, Texas on November 27, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 93. Wilma worked from Kitchen Vent for over 15 years and retired from Fisher Controls in McKinney, Texas after 10 years.  She enjoyed dancing, playing dominoes, and visiting the senior citizen centers with all of her many friends.  Wilma loved her family and was proud of each and every one of them.   As a grandmother, she loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play all their sports. Wilma attended every game she was able to. She loved her Sunday dinners with her family. 

She is survived by her children, Commeal Shinn of Blue Ridge, Terry Jenkins and his wife Judy of Blue Ridge, Lynn Earley and her husband Joe of Westminster, Rickey Jenkins and his wife Joy of Van Alstyne, Jimmey Jenkins of Blue Ridge, and Lanny Jenkins and his wife Peggy of Blue Ridge; brother, JR Bunch of Farmersville, Texas; sister, Winona Samples of McKinney, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.  

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, JT Jenkins, parents, Loyd and Edna Bunch of Blue Ridge, siblings, Kathleen Short of Farmersville, Christine Parks of Westminster, Conway Bunch of Avery, and Travis Bunch of Blue Ridge, two grandchildren, Terrie Lynn Thompson of Anna and Greg Bowers of  Van Alstyne. 

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington St, Farmersville, TX 75442.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Darryl Lewis of Verona Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Cemetery.   

Following the service, the family will be having a luncheon at their residence located at 13 East Lamm Street from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Momma carried us all these years, we will carry her to her final resting place.  Pallbearers will be Commeal Shinn, Terry Jenkins, Lynn Earley, Rickey Jenkins, Jimmey Jenkins and Lanny Jenkins.
