William Robert “Bob” White, age 79, of Dallas, Texas, passed away April 29, 2017. Bob was born November 30, 1937, in Huntsville, Texas, to William Gordon and Eddie (Turlington) White. His family moved to Dallas where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Bob was a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He married Patricia L. Carstarphen in 1961, in Dallas. Bob spent his working career as an independent insurance agent; achieving a CLU. He loved to play golf and was an all around sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Carstarphen White of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Amy White Helms and husband, David of Denton, Texas and Melinda White Edwards and husband, Steven of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Alison Brooke Helms, Rachel Katherine Helms, Sarah Lilline Edwards, and Emily Lauren Edwards; sister, Beth White Kennedy; sister-in-law, Judy Mighell and husband, Ken; nephews, Richard Musgrave, Tom Mighell, and Kenny Coupel; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
