IN LOVING MEMORY

William Michael Roblin

Nov 10 1949 - Jun 10 2021

William Michael Roblin was born in San Diego, California on November 10, 1949, at the age of zero.  When he was three, and only after many hours of thoughtful consideration, decided to move to the Republic of Texas with his parents and older sister.  It was not that he particularly liked the idea of living in Texas, but a dining table with four chairs has been purchased and he felt his absence would create an awkward seating dilemma.

His formative years were spent in Mesquite where he graduated from high school in 1968 with honors.  A bachelor’s degree was obtained in 1972 from East Texas State University- without honors but also without any misdemeanors or felonies.  The school shortly afterward changed its name.  It is thought the two events are not related.  Not much of importance happened for the next thirty years.  But then, Robin Little sashayed into his life.

He had been known as “Mike” until meeting Robin, who determined that, going forward, he should be called “Michael Roblin; and she “Robin Roblin”.  He obeyed and his life was forever altered for the better.  Her constant love, support and overall fabulousness far exceeded anything he imagined or deserved.

Michael, the author of his obituary and one novel The Pride of Bergenville which, if you have not already purchased flowers, is available on Amazon as an eBook or in paperback format.  Michael came up with the idea for the book in 1985, and, working furiously, he quickly completed the manuscript and published it in 2020.

Michael is survived by his wife, the aforementioned Robin.  Truth be told, it was he who survived because of her.  Prior to their meeting, he had been in a fairly dark place emotionally and was convinced the best days of his life were far behind him.  But he was wrong.  Every moment spent with Robin has been a glorious explosion of joy and contentment, with sometimes a little confusion added to the mix.  He has been blessed far more than he deserved.

He is also survived by his stepdaughters, Cambria Little and Caylie Morse; son-in-law, Nick Morse; crazy, but amazing grandsons, Brayden and Gavin Morse; beloved sister, Susan Carey and brother-in-law, Bill Carey; six nephews and nieces; and countless (seriously, it seems like there is a new one every other month!) great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  The service will also live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Michael’s obituary page by clicking on the following link:  https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/william-michael-roblin.  After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
