Jack was born at home in Princeton, Texas on September 7, 1938 to Thomas and Josephine Lyday Wyatt.  He passed away on December 15, 2016 at the age of 78.  He married Betty Bowling, his high school sweetheart, on July 3, 1957 in Durant, Oklahoma and they lived in Farmersville for all of their married life. 
Jack worked for Intercontinental in Garland for several years before becoming a fireman for the City of Garland, which he retired from after 33 years.  While working for the City of Garland, on his off days, he would also paint, tape and bed and wall paper old and new homes in the Farmersville, Princeton and McKinney area.
He was a member of the Farmersville Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for many years.  In addition to his leadership help as elder, he enjoyed visiting members of the church each week.  He was always willing to help friends and neighbors in any way he could.  He delivered Meals on Wheels for several years, where he made many lifelong friendships.  Jack also gave of his time by being on the board of directors at the Van Winkle and Pleasant Grove Cemeteries.  When he wasn’t serving his community, he enjoyed riding his bicycle with friends, Allen Wisdom and Charles Horton.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, children; Pam and Tony LeFan of Garland, Alan Wyatt and friend Nancy Austin and girls, Emzie and Kylie of Princeton, Penny and Donnie Skidmore of Ivanhoe, grandchildren; Katie and Kyle Ussery of Rockwall, Nolan and Tori Skidmore of Merit, Emily and Joshua McIntire of Princeton, Ben Wyatt of Farmersville, Jennifer, Sarah, Melissa and Stephen LeFan of Garland, and great granddaughter, Landrie Ussery of Rockwall; brother, Tommy and Betty Wyatt of Princeton, sister, Betty Holloway of Farmersville. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edwin, sister-in-law Betty H. Wyatt and brother-in-law Harold Holloway.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday,  December 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Farmersville Church of Christ.
