William George John Ayling

William George John Ayling, of Denton/Sanger, TX, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on October 21, 1933, in London, England, to William George Ayling and Edith (Knight) Ayling, he lived a life rich in service, entrepreneurship, and passion for sports.

George spent his early years in England, dedicating a significant portion of his youth to serving in the Royal Air Force, where he demonstrated courage and commitment to his country. He continued that same commitment after his military service and became a London Bobby. On November 5, 1954, George married Irene Hanratty, and together they built a life filled with love and joyful moments. George’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to success in the hospitality industry, where he established, managed, and sold several restaurants. He later ventured into oil and gas, excelling in management and retail. George was passionate about sports, both as a player and a fan. He loved playing soccer and closely followed Arsenal F.C. matches. His enthusiasm for sports extended to both fútbol and American football. George was also known for his remarkable marksmanship, a talent he honed with precision.

His friends and family will always remember George for his warm personality, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

George is survived by his sons; Jason Ayling and wife Anita, Garth Ayling and wife Sheri; daughter, Yvette Ardolino and husband Adam; grandchildren, Gregory Sullivan and wife Angela, Brandon Sullivan and wife Amy, Drew Ayling and wife Jamie, Ashdon Ayling and wife Rachel, Jennifer Ayling, Seth Ardolino, Caedon Ayling, Mahgen Ayling,; great-grandchildren, Mason, Collins, Bryce, Ethan, and Rylan; brother, Brian Ayling of London, England; several nieces and nephews; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene (Hanratty) Ayling; parents, William George Ayling and Edith (Knight) Ayling; daughters, Linda Sullivan, and Lesley Ayling; grandson, Justen Ayling; and brother Frank Ayling.
