William Fitzgerald Webber

Mr. William Fitzgerald Webber was born March 29, 1964, in Shelby, North Carolina and departed this life on May 21, 2022. He is the son of the late William B. Webber and the late Carolyn Murphy Webber. He is known as Gerald to his family and Bill by many friends, he was a proud father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He attended North Carolina State University, where he studied mechanical engineering and had a career in sales across various industries. Bill enjoyed sports starting at an early age, lettering in basketball, football, and track at Shelby High School. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and made Dallas, TX his home since 2008 to be close to his children. Bill embraced life and lived his life in full color. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends – whether playing with his children and grandchildren, taking vacations with his sisters, or having a lively night out with friends. Bill never met a stranger, and always had a kind word and a good story to share with anyone around him.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William B. Webber; his mother, Carolyn Murphy Webber; his brother, William Webber Jr; his paternal grandparents, William Beard and Sylvia Webber Johnson; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence “Buster” Murphy and Effie Mae Murphy; and his uncle, Frank L. Murphy.

Bill leaves to carry on his legacy three sons: Justin Webber-Blackwell, Jared Webber-Blackwell, and Josh Webber-Blackwell all of Dallas, TX; two daughters of the heart: Jordan Blackwell of Lawton, Oklahoma and Kristal Waiters of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren: Kyrah Webber, Kalie Webber, and James William Ellis all of Dallas, TX; one grandson of the heart: Kelvin Waiters of Dallas, TX; four sisters: Deborah Webber of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lisa Webber of Morris Plains, New Jersey, Kimberly Webber of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Lori Webber of Jacksonville, Florida; two aunts: Lottie Murphy Sanders and Barbara Murphy Archie of Shelby, North Carolina; and one great aunt: Carnella Murphy Andrews of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He is also survived by the mother of his children and life-long friend Cynthia Blackwell, friends of the heart William and Jace Blackwell, his partner Debra Crosswell of Wichita Falls, TX, and a host of relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.

There will be a Repast at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2022 at One Community Church Plano Campus, 2400 TX-121, Plano, TX 75025

No formal funeral service will be held. Any words and extended speaking will be at the repast with food, family, and friends.
