William Ferguson Pentak, “Bill,” age 91, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2024. He was born in Houston, Texas, on December 1, 1932, to Ida Mae (Ferguson) and William Pentak. On March 8, 1957, William married Freddie Mae Budde in Houston, Texas. Bill lived most of his life in Houston, Texas; Tucson, Arizona; and Frisco.
Bill graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in business in 1951. He was a stockbroker, a successful businessman in many different ventures and a real estate investor.
Bill was a devoted husband; a loving father, grandfather and brother; a veteran, and a child of God. He was a golfer, a fisherman, a connoisseur of fine art and antiques who discovered an Italian masterpiece — yet chose to live a remarkably simple life. He loved to laugh and rooted for the underdog in all areas of life. He trusted Jesus to reunite him with his beloved wife, Freddie, of 60 years.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Budde Averill and her husband, Jerry of Kandern, Germany; his son, William (Bill) Pentak and his wife, Jodie of Frisco, Texas; his grandson, William Marshall Pentak of Frisco, Texas; his granddaughter, Anna Lee Haab and her husband Jacob of Kona, Hawaii; his sister, Billie Mae Brewer of Frisco, Texas also originally from Houston.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Pentak; and his parents, Ida and William Pentak.
