IN LOVING MEMORY

William Eugene Galbreath

Jun 18 1946 - Jun 26 2019

William Eugene Galbreath, Jack, age 73 of Plano, Texas passed away June 26, 2019 at home with his loving wife by his side.  He was born on June 18, 1946 to Adam Eugene Galbreath and Vera Lee (Hill) Galbreath in Sherman, Texas. Jack was a graduate of Fred Douglass High School and East Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era and worked in Jet Aircraft Maintenance at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas.  After leaving the U.S. Air Force, Jack returned to Sherman and worked full time while pursuing his education at Grayson Community College, graduating with an Associate Degree of Arts and Science in Drafting, and later from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A & M University Commerce.  While in Sherman, he rode motorcycles with a local club.  Jack met his wife, Pat, in 1988 at a Texas Ski Rangers meeting.  He married Patricia Nadine Robinson four years later on April 18, 1992.  Jack and Pat enjoyed a full life working together as a loving couple.  Together, they skied in Colorado, New Mexico, California and Utah.  They travelled internationally to Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.  He retired from the Coca Cola Company in June, 2012, after 27 years of service.  The Coca Cola Company benefitted greatly from Jack’s expertise and knowledge.  He was the recipient of the 2001 Performance Always Award for submitting a process improvement solution that saved the company millions of dollars.  Jack relished laughing and talking while spending time with family, friends and neighbors.  He enjoyed working with his hands in the yard, around the house and on his cars.  Jack still owned his treasured 1973 Chevrolet Stingray.

Over the last 18 months as he battled his illness, Jack found peace, strength, endurance and hope in Jehovah God’s promise of a resurrection to a paradise earth found in God’s Holy Word, the Bible.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Robinson) Galbreath, brother, James Galbreath; sister, Brenda Kemp; seven nephews; three nieces; special cousin, Vickie Galbreath Huckaby; brother-in-law, Marcus  Robinson; sisters-in-law; Juanita Robinson and Mary Velazquez; very close friends, Larry Gene Boyd and Gregory James; as well as a host of other relatives.

William was preceded in death by his parents; Adam and Vera Galbreath.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. A private interment will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
