William “Bill” Branson Crockett, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend departed this life March 21, 2006. He was a careful man of devotion to his work, family, and creator. Beginning his career in electrical engineering at Collins Radio, he moved his young family to Richardson, Texas in 1961. In 1967 he joined Texas Instruments and became a highly respected systems manager, eventually accepting an assignment to run a branch in Bedfordshire, England. Bill Crockett retired from T.I. in 1992 and enjoyed traveling with Jerrie, playing piano, orchestral bass and being with his children and grandchildren. He recently was a tutor of physics at Richland College and a mentor to a fourth grade student from Nigeria. His life witness was an inspiration to many. He is survived by his wife, Jerrie Crockett of Richardson, Texas; sons, David Crockett and wife, Cathy of Justin, Texas and Billy Crockett and wife, Dodee of Wimberly, Texas; grandchildren, April Crockett, Tara Foster, Shawn Crockett, and Austin Crockett; and sister, Joan Loyd of Glenview, Illinois.
