William "Bill" Buerger

Mr. William “Bill” Buerger, age 85, of McKinney, Texas passed away December 31, 2005, in McKinney. He was born January 27, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois to William August and Adelaide (Wilson) Buerger. On September 22, 1946, he married Shirley Anne Brandau in Chicago. Mr. Buerger served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for the Chicago Transit Authority as an electrician and was of the Presbyterian faith. Mr. Buerger has been a Mason for 52 years and a Shriner for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Hella Temple in Garland, Texas and an endowed life time member of Scottish Rite. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Buerger-Rundgren and husband, Don of McKinney; grandchildren, Karl Nels-Frank Rundgren and wife, Jordan of Toledo, Ohio and Derek Alexander Rundgren of McKinney; and great-grandson, Nathanael Dane Rundgren of Toledo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Anne Buerger. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Charlie Tuttle officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
