William Blueford Tabor was born on November 12, 1935 in Smithtown, Kentucky to William Braxton Tabor and Martha Elsie Morton Tabor. He passed away on February 1, 2022 in Savoy, Texas at the age of 86 years of age.
He married his childhood sweetheart Barbara Jean Caraway of Whitewright, Texas. They were married for 40 years and had 7 children. Bill retired from the city of Sherman, street department. He spent his retirement playing his banjo, singing karaoke, going to swap meets. He was a talented and established chainsaw artist; eagles were his favorite pieces to carve.
Bill left behind his memories and his smile in the face on one of the 38 grandkids and 17 great-grandkids.
Bill is survived by his children, Sammie Tabor of Tonasket, Washington, Martha Schrand of Yakima, Washington, Gerald Tabor of Denison; Linda Tabor of Whitewright, Nickey Scott and husband John of Whitewright; two sisters Faye Robinson of Telephone and Teddy Wheeler of Arlington. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Tabor, sons, Bill Tabor and Donnie Tabor; and his parents, William and Elsie Tabor.
Memorial Services will be held 2PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Whitewright, Texas. Pastor Jerry Keeton will officiate.
