William "Bill" O. James

Mr. William Owen “Bill” James, 74, of McKinney, Texas went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2004. He was born November 23, 1929 in Blackfoot, Idaho to William and Nellie (Moore) James. He was raised in Coos Bay, Oregon. He attended Tennessee Temple University. On June 8, 1985 he married Linda Littlejohn in McKinney. He was a local business owner. Mr. James served with distinction in the Air Force during World War II as well as the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Silver Star. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi where he was active with the UMYF. He attended the First United Methodist Church in McKinney. He is survived by his wife, Linda James of McKinney; children, William O. James Jr. and wife, Patti of Little Rock, Arkansas, Margaret “Pegi” James of Neskowin, Oregon, Timothy Collier James and wife, Becky of Grand Saline, Texas, Jacqueline “Jackie” Reese and husband, Kenny of Santa Rosa, California, Lieutenant Sim James, USN of Monterey, California; grandchildren, William, Trevor, Blair, Taylor, Eve, Timothy, Brittlyn, and Landon; sister, Doris Stevens of Coos Bay, Oregon; sister-in-law and sister in heart, Stacy Edwards and husband, Jeff of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law, Frances Bourland and husband, Robert of McKinney; father-in-law, Grady Littlejohn and wife, Peggy of McKinney. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 10:00 AM in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
