William "Bill" Erwin Neely

William “Bill” Erwin Neely, age 93, passed away on February 7, 2026.

Bill was born on December 29, 1932, in McKinney, Texas, to Charlie Neely and Viola Paysinger. A lifelong Texan, Bill built his life around hard work, dedication, and the values he learned early on.

For many years, Bill owned and operated Custom Overhead Doors, a business he was deeply passionate about. His work ethic, craftsmanship, and commitment to serving others defined his professional life and earned him the respect of customers and colleagues alike.

On February 18, 1957, Bill married the love of his life, Vonnie (Johnson) Neely, in McKinney, Texas. They shared many years together until her passing, and she remained a cherished part of his life and memories.

Bill had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in being outside whenever he could. Whether through his work or his personal time, he lived life with purpose and pride.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his passion for his business, and his steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Patty Neely-Peet and husband, Dennis of Anna, Texas; daughter, Kelly Kaczor and husband, Mike of Van Alstyne, Texas; son, Gene Neely and wife, Jeanne of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Justin Buchanan of Anna, Texas; granddaughter, Tiffany Harpole and husband, Jeff of Leonard, Texas; grandson, Jonathan Buchanan and wife, Emily of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Lauren Garcia and husband, Aaron of Anna, Texas; grandson, Brandon Neely of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Morgan Neely of McKinney, Texas; great grandchildren, Kaden Sadlehttps://celebrationoflife.tv/r, Braden Sadler, Makalee Sadler, Hadlee Harpole, Lennox Buchanan, Madeline Buchanan and Oaklee Harpole; great – great grandchild, Emerson Sadler; and a host of other loving family and friends. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Viola Neely; wife, Vonnie Neely; sister, Dana Litchford and sister, Charlotte Litchford. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive guests during a visitation on Wednesday evening, February 11, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
