William B. C. (Bill) Pittenger, age 76, of Frisco, Texas, passed away January 3, 2017. Bill was born November 4, 1940, in Austin, Texas, to William A. and Doris (Owen) Pittenger. He married Carolyn Ehrle on September 1, 1988, in Dallas, Texas. Bill graduated from The University of Texas in Austin where he received his Doctorate. He owned his own law firm, Pittenger and Associates, P. C. and was a founding partner of Pittenger, Nuspl & Crumley Law Firm.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Pittenger of Frisco, Texas; son, Douglas Pittenger and fiancée, Sara Pledger of Austin, Texas; sisters, Diane Thompson of Austin and Martha Boswell and husband, Dan, also of Austin and brother, Congressman Robert Pittenger and wife, Suzanne of Charlotte, North Carolina. Also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Frisco. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00p.m., Thursday evening at First Baptist Church of Frisco.
