William “Bill” Bauman, age 89, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 21, 2011. He was born October 8, 1921, in Baltimore, Maryland to William Milton and Margaret Anita (Holdorz) Bauman. On June 23, 1979, he married Margaret Jean Collins in Mineral Wells, Texas. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Jean Bauman of McKinney, Texas; brother, Richard C. Bauman of Elk Ridge, Maryland; sisters, Margaret Sheeder of Englewood, Florida and Dorothy Phipps of Hanover, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Penny Dyer; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Alex, William, Harrison, and Suzanna; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ora Hightower Bauman; son, William Alton Bauman; and brothers, Howard J. Bauman and Roy Bauman. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas, with Dr. Danny Buster officiating.
