Bill is survived by his daughter Julie Williams and her husband, Jerry of McKinney, Texas; son, Billy Marshall of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Kevin Marshall and his wife, Robin of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Erin Kotzur and her husband Rusty of Austin, Texas, and his great-grandson, Van Kotzur.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie; parents, William and Cecile Marshall; grandson, Christopher Marshall; and sister, Jeanne Marshall.
Bill started his career as a radio DJ and moved into radio ad sales. He bought a radio station in El Reno in 1963 where he and his family lived for many years. After selling the station, Bill worked managing Kelso’s, a department store and built a Franchise business before becoming the Hospital Administrator at Parkview Hospital, eventually retiring there.
During his years in El Reno, Bill became a city councilman and served as City Manager for several years. He was very active in the El Reno Elks Clubs eventually becoming the Exalted Ruler. Along with his beloved wife, Jackie, they enjoyed many years of great friendships from the Elks Club, Amity Club, Dinner Club, and numerous neighbors.
An active member of the First Baptist Church of El Reno, Bill was involved in the Shepherd’s House ministry. He served mobile meals for many years and drove cancer patients to treatments. He loved OU football and spending time with his family.
Services will be held at Memorial Park Chapel, 13400 N. Kelly Ave. in Oklahoma City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13th. In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to The Shepherd’s House 359 S Choctaw Ave, El Reno, OK 73036.
