William "Bill" Alvia Graves

William “Bill” Graves, 79 was born to Peter & Rosa Graves in Norfolk, Virginia, May 28, 1942.  Bill graduated High School from Fayetteville, NC.

He later moved to Texas.  Bill was a single parent for some time.  While escorting his ten-year-old daughter, Lynne to the zoo he met Margaret Moore and her son.  As they both walked along showing their children all the animals, they began to realize they had a lot in common.  Courting began and as their fondness grew for each other.  Bill decided to propose, and he and Margaret were married June 7, 1980, in Plano, Texas.  He enjoyed watching television shows of old steam trains and old tractors.  He also had developed a liking for Rizzoli and Isles sitcom so much so that he bought the DVD’s.

 Bill loved to garden and plant flowers for his wife, Margaret Moore Graves of 41 years.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Peter & Rosa, his daughter Lynne and son Alex and one brother Peter.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Moore Graves of Trenton, Texas, one daughter Rebekah Guthrie, two grandsons Charles and Billy Guthrie, two great granddaughters, Leah and Harley Rae Guthrie, one brother, Terry Graves and one sister Elaine Shafer Graves, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Services for Bill will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2021,
