William Albert BrisBois

William Albert BrisBois passed away on July 19, 2022, in Plano,Texas, after a courageous struggle against Alzheimer’s. Bill was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1949, to William Bertrand and Catherine Duplain BrisBois. A graduate of Princess Anne High (1968), Bill was drum major of the Marching Cavaliers. He attended Chowan College and graduated from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton) in North Carolina. He taught government for 36 years at Kellam, Green Run, and Salem High, where he devoted many hours coaching the drill and flag teams, assisting bands, and acting as scorekeeper at basketball and football games. After retiring in 2008, he and wife Nancy moved to Frisco, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Nancy, of Frisco, Texas; son, David Scott BrisBois, wife Jennifer; grandson, Brian of Virginia Beach; stepdaughter, Catherine Inge; stepson, Robert Inge and wife, Angela Morgan; and granddaughter Ainsley Inge, all of Frisco.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and the older of his two sons, Brian Todd BrisBois from his first marriage.

His family expresses their deepest appreciation for his exceptional care from Harbor Chase Plano, Ardent Hospice, and personal caregiver, Kay Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. A private inurnment will follow at the columbarium. Bill will be remembered by his family, many friends, and hundreds of former students for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make others smile.

The family suggest honoring Bill through a donation to Princess Anne HS’s Marching Band or the O’Donnell Brain Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
