William "Will" Arthur Culver Jr.

William A. Culver Jr., from Neptune, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by family on April 18, 2018 in Plano, Texas at the age of 55. 

Will was raised in several towns throughout New Jersey.  For a few years, at a very young age, he lived in Lancaster, PA with an Amish family and proclaimed this to be the most enjoyable time of his life.  Will joined the United States Navy at the age of 17, and served on the USS Independence (CV-62).  He proudly became a Shellback and was the recipient of an Expeditionary medal for Iranian Afghanistan contingency operations (Iranian Hostage Crisis) and an Enlisted Surface Warfare insignia.  He was also awarded for good conduct and honorably discharged from the Navy.  He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 346 in Neptune, NJ where he served as Sergeant of arms and member of the Color Guard, and the VFW Post 4715 in Point Pleasant, NJ.  

Will was preceded by his brothers, Scott Thomas and Brian Allen Culver; brother-in-law Thomas Coppinger; and parents, William Culver and Carol Smith Culver.  Will and his wife, Denise Marie Glovich Culver, together celebrated 32 years of marriage shortly before his passing.  Also surviving are his children, Heather D’Amico and husband Adam, and Courtney Culver and fiancé Jay Lopez; grandchildren, Derek Culver D’Amico (his “little Coconut”) and Jace Patrick D’Amico; sister, Brenda Riveria; brother, Barry Culver; sister-in-law, Kelli Coppinger; brother-in-law, Michael Riveria; mother and father-in-law, Jackie and Larry Glovich; nieces, Brianna Coppinger and Christine Riveria; other nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and many valued friends.  

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 beginning at 1:15 PM.  

A memorial will be held in New Jersey on May 19, 2018 at the American Legion, 21 Gully Road, Neptune, New Jersey 07753 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
