Wilford Wallington Ketner

Wilford Wallington Ketner of McKinney, Texas passed away December 19, 2021 at the age of 88.  He was born on March 10, 1933 to John Christopher Ketner and Jewel (King) Ketner in Hood, Texas.  Wilford married the late Barbara Sue (Newby) Ketner on August 18, 1988 and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage before her passing in 2004.  He attended schools in Mesquite, Texas before going to serve in the United States Army.  Wilford served his country proudly and received an honorable discharge in October of 1956.  He also worked as a jet mechanic for 38 years.  Wilford enjoyed fishing, working on cars, riding around town, and traveling.  He was of the Pentecostal faith.  Wilford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.

Wilford is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Clayton of Princeton, Texas, Becky Morris of McKinney, Texas, and Cynthia K. Hurley of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Morris and wife, Patty of Blue Ridge, Texas, David Morris McKinney, Texas, and Kristen Morris of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Felicia Morris, Veronica Gomez, Lucas Morris, Tyler Morris, Ethan Morris, and Lillie Morris; great-great-grandchild, Joeclyn Dycus; brother, Thomas Ketner of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Penney Park; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ketner; parents, John and Jewel Ketner; brothers, Lawrence Ketner, Clarence Ketner, Robert Ketner, and Kenneth Ketner; sister, Ruth Lacey; and granddaughter, Lamanda Jo Atkins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/wilford-wallington-ketner. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service

The family will receive family and Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
