IN LOVING MEMORY

Wesley Eugene Weimer

Sep 23 1981 - Feb 22 2024

Wesley Eugene Weimer passed away February 22, 2024 in McKinney, Texas. He was 42 years old.

Born on September 23, 1981 in Houston, Texas, Wes was a Texas boy through and through. No matter where life took him during his life, his heart remained in Texas.

After spending his early childhood in Arlington, Texas, Wes spent the rest of his adolescent/teenage years in Plano, Texas.  He attended Weatherford Elementary, Wilson Middle School, Vines High School and Plano Senior High School (Class of 2000). He went on to attend Collin County Community College.

Wes loved life. He loved playing sports. He played baseball and football in youth leagues to go on and play baseball and football at Vines High School, and then was a pitcher for Plano Senior High. Nothing Wes loved more than to have the game on the line, and the ball in his hands. He was also a batboy for the Texas Rangers in 1999.

Wes left Texas for Memphis, then moved to Atlanta and Washington, DC before finding his way back home to Texas in 2022.

He worked at various occupations until he found his niche in life-that of an electrician.

Wherever Wes went he made friends. He was easy-going, and fun-loving, and a kind gentle soul who always had a helping hand for a friend in need. He was a huge animal lover and had a magic touch with furry friends. Dogs, cats, raccoons-they all loved and trusted him. He also loved to cook. His barbecue was amazing.

Wes loved movies. He was always up to date on the latest releases. He remembered dialogue and could recite scenes verbatim-always with his own creative twist.

Wes was funny. He had a keen dry wit and saw the humor in life and loved to make people laugh. He had a laugh and smile that was contagious. You could not help but smile in his company.

Wes was a homebody who loved his family. He adored his niece, Olivia, and nephew, Max. Family was important to him. We loved him dearly, and the hole left by his passing will never be mended.

He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth (McBain)Weimer of McKinney, Texas; brother, Benjamin Weimer and wife, Carmen; niece, Olivia Weimer; nephew, Maxwell Weimer; grandmother, JoAnne McBain of Allen, Texas; plus, several aunts and uncles; and a host of other loving family and friends.

"May angels lead you into paradise; upon your arrival, may the martyrs receive you and lead you to the holy city of Jerusalem. May the ranks of angels receive you, and with Lazarus, once a poor man, may you have eternal rest."
