I was a student of Mr. Barker at Sherman High School In '85-'86 and '86-'87 school years. Mr. Barker was a good man and even better human being. He taught me alot about respecting people. He ruled with an iron fist but was as gentle as a lady bug. It deeply saddened me to hear of his passing. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace. William streng, November 17, 2017 My condolences to Wesley Earle Barker's Family. He was my Building Trades teacher at Sherman High School from 1982- 1984... I had two years to get to know him building the houses on Patricia St. and Richelieu St.,they are fond memories and best of all, I had Mr. Barker there. After my high school years and the years that had followed I would see him now and again and we would chat.... he was a good man, and I know that all of us that knew him as I did personally in school feel the same. His Life is celebrated and He will be missed by us all. Wylie Mitchell, September 5, 2008 Bettye, I am very sorry about your families loss. I love your family and will keep you all in my prayers.
