Wenzhi An, 80 passed away Friday night, December 4, 2015 at Plano Medical center following a car accident.
Mr. An is survived by his son, Tao An and his wife, Xiangqun Nai; his daughter,Ping An and her husband Illias Abdul; four grandchildren; his siblings, his ex-spouse Cancen Lu, and many close friends.
Born in ShanXi and raised in Sichuan in China, he was the third child of Shilin An and Zhende Wang.
Born to a big family of 10 children on April 17, 1935, he spent his childhood in Chongqin. He attended Sichuan Medical University, graduating in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in Dentistry. He moved back to his birthplace province, worked at multiple hospitals until his retirement. He had helped and cured thousands of patients, and earned himself the reputation of a distinguished doctor in local cities he lived. He met and married Cancen Lu in 1964 in Yuci.
After his son and daughter came to the United States for studying and later made the decision to stay, he immigrated as well to unite with his children and had been living in San Jose, California since 1997 before moving to Plano, Texas in 2013.
Mr. An enjoyed working, swimming, reading, movies and travel. He particularly liked to be around his grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
