Wen Jin Zheng passed away on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, with her family by her side. She was 82 years old.
Wen Zheng was born on August 17th, 1940, in Kuantan, Malaysia. When She was 10 years old, she traveled back to Putian, China with her grandmother. She spent her formative years in China and would graduate from college in 1962. Afterwards, she took a position as an elementary teacher.
In 1965, she met De Jin Ke, who would later become her future husband, through mutual friends from their workplace. After a year of courtship, they were married on June 5th, 1966. They would go on to have two sons, Fan, and Fong.
Life would take her and her family to America in 1983, where they worked for Chinese restaurants in Texas and Oklahoma. They would later realize their American dream of owning a Chinese restaurant, Golden China, in Durant Oklahoma.
After her sons grew up, graduated from university, and started their own families, she would retire to McKinney, Texas to be closer to them. In retirement, she would become a prolific gardener. She enjoyed growing all kinds of vegetables and fruits in her backyard. Her favorites were the peach trees that would bloom beautiful flowers each spring.
Wen Zheng is survived by her husband De Jin Ke; her two sons Fan Ke and Fong Ke; her two granddaughters Kaylee and Audrey and the rest of their family.
In life, she was loved, and in death, she is remembered. Rest In Peace.
