Weldon Ray Alexander, 74, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1951 to James Ray Alexander and Betty Jean (Armstrong) Alexander in McKinney, Texas. Weldon lived a life filled with love and laughter in the vibrant community of Celina, Texas.
Weldon had a successful 47-year career in the fertilizer industry with his employers Suregrow Ag Products and Willard Grain and Feed. He was passionate about his work and was a leader to many fellow co-workers and lifelong friends.
He was a dedicated member at Bethel Baptist Church of Celina, Texas where he loved and supported his church family. Weldon stayed active in the community and was a member of the Celina Quarterback Club.
He proudly cheered on his beloved Celina Bobcats during football season. During the fall, every Friday night was for football and other weekend plans evolved around Friday night.
Weldon's largest love was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father and Dad to many. He will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious smile, and the countless ways he brightened the lives of everyone he met.
Though Weldon has left us physically, his spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, but we celebrate the moments we had together and the joy he brought into our lives.
Weldon is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Gaither Alexander of Celina, Texas; daughter, Lisa Alexander also of Celina, Texas; sister, Sharon Hamilton and husband, Rick of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Riley Alexander Branch, Rowan Alexander Branch, both of Celina, Robie Wilks of Quitman, Texas, Cara Wilks of Weatherford, Texas, and Nicole Villa Black of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jeralyn Johnson and husband, Keagen of McKinney, Texas, Kolyn Jayke Wilks of Celina, Texas, Eian Alexander Wilks-Grider also of Celina, and Christian Villa of McKinney, Texas; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Alexander, first wife, Peggy Wilks Alexander; granddaughter, Ashlie Villa; sister, Barbara Kavanaugh; and stepson, Robert Milton Wilks, III.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Bethel Baptist Church, 8382 County Road 128, Celina, Texas. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
