Mr. Weldon Leon Alexander, age 76, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away February 1, 2005, in Lewisville, Texas. He was born December 25, 1928, in Melissa, Texas, to Moses and Daisy (Starnes) Alexander. He served in the U. S. Army following World War II in Japan, Alaska and Washington, D.C. He married Joyce E. Lawson on June 14, 1952, in McKinney, Texas. Mr. Alexander retired from the Dallas County Police Department in 1993. He was a member of the Webb Chapel Church of Christ. He is survived by his son, Stephen P. Alexander of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Lisa White and husband, Robert of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda White and Kristina White, both of Waurika, Oklahoma; brother, Guy Alexander of Carrollton, Texas; and sister, Bertha Alexander of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joyce Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 3, 2005, at the Webb Chapel Church of Christ with Dr. Lowell Worthington, Bro. Bert Alexander and Bro. Wayne White officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
