W.B. "Pete" Tallant

W. B. “Pete” Tallant, of Fairview, Texas, formerly of Wylie, Texas, passed away on March 22, 2017.  He was born on November 28, 1938, to George Thomas and Mary Mirtie (Rogers) Tallant in Princeton, Texas.  On December 28, 1963, Pete married Cynthia “Patsy” Timpa in Dallas, Texas.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.  Pete was self-employed, as co-owner/operator of Dallas Computer Service.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas.  Pete was a former member of the East Fork Masonic Lodge in Wylie; he was on several committees at First Baptist Church of Wylie; and was also a member of the Wylie School Board in the 1980’s.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Tallant of Fairview, Texas; children, Paul Tallant and wife Mary Beth of Lavon, Texas, Cindy Tallant Meeks and husband Gary of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Makenna Tallant, Reid Tallant and Jackson Meeks; sister, Wanda Lee Tallant Graves and husband Bob of Plano, Texas; nephew, Keith Graves and wife Bettepat of Plano, Texas; niece, Sandy Reeves and husband Rusty of Allen, Texas; several great-nieces and nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas and Mary Mirtie Tallant.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation being held on Friday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
