“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” Mother Teresa
-And so, begins the beautiful story of the man with the radiant, genuine and loving smile.
Wayne Lamay Pipkin, III was born on July 29th, 1963 to Wayne Lamay Pipkin, Jr. and Karen (Ritter) Pipkin. He grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and graduated from Mesquite High School in 1981. In November of 2004, Wayne’s magnificent smile captured the attention of his beloved wife-Griselda. From the very first time Griselda met him, she knew she would be in love with him forever. Wayne and Griselda were married in August of 2007, and the next year they welcomed their precious son, Tyler. Griselda and Tyler were Wayne’s entire world. He was a devoted Husband and Father. Wayne loved taking Tyler to school every day, walking him into the building before heading off to work. The school day mornings were a very special time between Wayne and his son. Tyler and Wayne were involved with the Boy Scouts and Wayne constantly strived to set a positive example for his son. He was kind and nurturing and patient. Wayne and Griselda never hung up the phone without telling each other, “I love you”.
Wayne was also devoted to his faith, and he was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Plano, Texas, where he and his wife and son attended Mass every Sunday. A true Texas man, he loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, and enjoyed spending time with his family enjoying weekend gatherings around the barbeque grill. Wayne also loved staying fit by working out alongside his son and nephews at the gym, and he was constantly doting on his darling nieces. He was a terrific Uncle.
On May 6, 2020 at the age of 56, the Lord called Wayne Lamay Pipkin, III home.
He is survived by his wife, Griselda Pipkin of Plano, Texas; son, Tyler Pipkin of Plano, Texas; brothers, Anthony Pipkin, Gerald Pipkin, and Alvin Pipkin. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, in laws and numerous family members and friends, as well as his colleagues at Aeronet Worldwide, all of whom loved him very much.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving parents, Wayne and Karen Pipkin.
A radiant, genuine and loving smile wraps around a heart like a ribbon of strength, and this is one of the many gifts Wayne leaves to all those that loved and cherished him. His smile was the beginning of love, and love has no end.
A rosary service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2020 followed by a memorial mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. and committal at St. Mark the Evangelical Catholic Church in Plano, Texas.
