Wayne F. Luttrell, a beloved resident of Wylie, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on July 6, 1934, to J. Frank and Reba (Wall) Luttrell in Rockwall, Texas. Wayne married Maryjane Luttrell on September 21, 2003, in Royse City, Texas, and together they shared a life filled with love and companionship.

Wayne was a man of faith, dedicated to his Methodist beliefs. Throughout his life, he exemplified integrity, kindness, and a strong sense of community. He had a remarkable work ethic, spending 21 years at Better Monkey Grip and another 28 years as a shop foreman for the City of Plano. His commitment and dedication to his work left a lasting impact on those around him.

Beyond his professional life, Wayne found joy in the simple pleasures of tinkering and working on various projects. Wayne never knew a stranger and was always singing, humming, or whistling a happy tune. He had a passion for yard work and took great pride in maintaining his outdoor space. Wayne's hands were always busy, and his ingenuity knew no bounds.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Maryjane Luttrell of Wylie, Texas, who shared in his joys and supported him throughout their years together. He is also survived by his children: daughter Alida (Luttrell) Jones and husband Jimmy of Albion, Oklahoma; son, Roy Luttrell and wife Kaye of Van Alstyne, Texas; son, Ricky Luttrell and wife Michelle of Meade, Oklahoma; son, Russell Luttrell and wife Michele of Gladewater, Texas; son, Jason Luttrell and wife Mallory of Wylie, Texas; and stepson, Adam Israelson of Omaha, Nebraska. Wayne is also survived by his sister, Mary Rogers and husband Buddy of Farmers Branch, Texas; sister, Doris Palmer of Mesquite, Texas; sister, Betty McLendon of Athens, Texas; and brother Michael Luttrell and wife Sandra of Quinlan, Texas.

Wayne's legacy lives on through his children, 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren and the cherished memories they shared.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, J. Frank and mother Reba; first wife of 49 years, Janell (Jenkins) Luttrell; stepson, Randy Carlson; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
