IN LOVING MEMORY

Warren M. Sharp

Sep 03 1926 - Mar 14 2019

Warren M. Sharp of Allen, Texas, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia and Mulberry, Florida, went to be with his beloved wife Bonnie Harrison on March 14, 2019, after a brief illness at the age of 92.

Sharp was born on September 3, 1926 in Frost, West Virginia, the son of Mitchell and Edyth Sharp. He grew up in Renick, West Virginia and graduated from Renick High School in 1944. Sharp attended West Virginia Tech briefly before joining the Merchant Marines and was in the South Pacific until the end of World War II. He was also an Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Sharp was employed by the Kroger Company for 22 years and was the owner of a moving company in Plano, Texas for 15 years, from which he retired in 1996. He and his wife Bonnie moved to Mulberry, Florida in 1996, where they were members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, Florida. Sharp later moved to Allen, Texas in 2011 to be closer to his family in Texas.

He is survived by one son, Paul, wife Waneta and their two daughters, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. He is also survived by two brothers Curtis and Burton. In Texas, he leaves behind his cherished “step” family: daughters-in-law Pat and Nadine; grandson Matthew; granddaughters Jennifer and Jan and all of their families. His Texas family was grateful for the many years of love, wisdom and humor he shared with them.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie, step-son Jim, and his grandson Michael Harrison.

Whether you knew him as “Warren”, “Grampa” or just “Sharp”, everyone who knew him, loved him and is better for having had him in their lives.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, 16155 Midland Trail West, Crawely, West Virginia 2931.
