Warren G. Brewer

Warren G. Brewer, age 86, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 13, 2007 in Allen, Texas. He was born March 4, 1921, in Hanson Oklahoma to James C. and Missouri (Anderson) Brewer. On January 20, 1948, he married Nancy Marie Gallicano of Port Chester, New York. He grew up in Hanson, Oklahoma where he graduated as valedictorian of his class, he served in the US Navy during World War II he was a part of seven major battles and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. After 20 years of service for his country he retired and worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Brewer of McKinney, Texas; children, Charles Warren Brewer and his wife Linda of Rowlett, Texas and Carol Ann Collins and her husband Don of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Marra and her husband Joe of McKinney, Texas, Kimberly Heather Collins of Frisco, Texas; great-grandchildren, Loni Marra, Tony Marra, Gracie Marra and Joe Marra, Jr. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Kijek and daughters, Gina and Melanie and a brother-in-law John, wife Barbara and their children John Jr. and Christine, and a host of other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Brewer; sister, Hazel Farmer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Chaplain Tim Kerrick officiating. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery with full Military Honors. The family will receive friends during a visitation Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
