Wanda Jean Serzy Hunter

Wanda Jean Serzy Hunter of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 24, 2021 at the age of 85. She was born on November 6, 1935 to Charles L. and Laura Leotha (Bruce) Serzy in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Wanda married George Haywood Hunter in November 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She worked in human resources for Service Pipeline for several years.  Her and her husband owned several children’s store and after the clothing stores, they owned a Sonic Restaurant.  She was a loan officer at a credit union. Wanda was a silver life master bridge player. 

She is survived by her children, Marcia Ramsey of McKinney, Texas, Greg Hunter and wife, Darlene of Plano, Texas, and Chris Hunter and wife, Mari of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Lance Ramsey  and wife, Leigh of Moore, Oklahoma, Garrett Hunter of Plano, Texas, Bryce Hunter of Plano, Texas, Ally Hunter of Benton, Arkansas, and Maddie Hunter of Benton, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Brookelyn Ramsey, Bailey Ramsey, and Anderson Hunter Ramsey all of Moore, Oklahoma; numerous other loving family and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, George Hunter; brothers, Clifford Serzy, Ivan Serzy, and Roy Serzy; and sisters, Gladys Swaim, Ruth Butler, and Faye Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, 315 North Church Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
