Wanda Ross Hampton

Wanda Ross Hampton, age 82, of Frisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2021.  Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berkshire Chapel 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at Berkshire Chapel on Thursday, July 1, 2021, beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas.

Wanda was born on February 5, 1939, in Dallas, Texas to Gladys A. (Rea) and Virgil F. Ross. She became a Dental Assistant after high school until she retired in her 70’s. She was a member at the First Baptist Church at The Fields in Carrollton.   

Wanda was a fun loving and caring woman who loved God, her family and the Dallas Cowboys above all else.  She was funny, silly and sarcastic and was never afraid of a good practical joke.  Her humorous way of life was very contagious and will be deeply missed. 

Wanda is survived by her two daughters, Renee Lorenz of Dallas, Texas; Lisa Durocher and her husband, Lloyd of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren, Leslie Tibbs and husband C.J. of Southlake, Ashley Bosworth and husband Justin of Dallas, Matthew Medina, Colin Durocher, and Trey Durocher; great-grandchildren, Cameran Tibbs, Carter Tibbs, and Cooper Bosworth. 

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved son, James Hampton; her precious granddaughter, Ella Grace Medina; her parents Virgil and Gladys Ross; and four siblings, Elwood Ross, Ann Hall, Billie Rea Ross, and James Weldon Ross.
