IN LOVING MEMORY

Wanda Lee Moore

Jul 26 1932 - Jul 24 2022

Two days prior to her 90th birthday, Wanda Lee (Vest) Moore passed from her earthly life into the arms of Jesus.  She was born July 26, 1932, to Shelby and Wilma Gladys (Arthur) Vest.  Wanda attended Prosper High School and later married Thomas Walker Moore on December 9, 1950.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Celina where she taught Sunday School.

Wanda was known for being an outstanding seamster and held many jobs, but the one she held dearly was being a homemaker and raising her children.  She enjoyed being involved in her grandchildren’s activities.  Wanda could many times be found at a hockey arena, football field, volleyball court, baseball field, basketball court, track stadium or soccer field.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Moore and wife, Janie of Dodd City, Texas and Tim Moore and wife, Paula of Celina, Texas; daughter, Teresa Terry of Skiatook, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy Dale Vest of Burleson, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, infant son, Michael Dale Moore, parents, Shelby and Gladys Vest, and sisters, Christene Furtick and Juanita Suits.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Celina with Pastor Donnie Suits officiating.  Interment will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.  Preceding the service, visitation will be held at 12 Noon in the church fellowship hall.
