Wanda Faye Parker of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 8, 2018, at the age of 82. She was born April 24, 1936, to Jimmie Ratliff Moses and Alva Beatrice (Fortner) Moses in Hobbs, New Mexico. Wanda attended McKinney Schools and was a 1954 graduate of McKinney High School. She married Billy Wayne Parker on April 8, 1955 in McKinney. Wanda was a devoted member of the High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney. She was an active member of her community including President of Crime Watch for her neighborhood and the Red Hat Club. Wanda worked for 38 years in the Banking industry. She loved working in her yard.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Parker Hunter and husband Tommy of Chandler, Texas; grandsons, Quintin Carney and Cory Carney, both of Collinsville, Texas; brother-in-law, Doug Parker and wife Virginia Parker of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Billy “Bill” Parker; parents, Jimmie and Alva Moses; and sisters, Ruby Moses and Barbara Roberts
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
