Walter Vladucek, 91, (SMSGT-RET), of Rome, NY, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of December 7, 2020. He was at his Texas home with his son, James and daughter-in-law, Mary.
Walter was born at home, Melrose Avenue, Ambridge, PA, on May 11, 1929. He was taken directly across the street to St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and baptized. His spiritual journey began with first Holy Communion and Confirmation to follow. This journey was shared with his twin sister, Gene.
He graduated from Ambridge High School class of 1947 and enlisted in the USAF. He proudly served his country for twenty years with many deployments overseas and across our nation.
In 1953 he returned to Ambridge, PA, to marry the love of his life Lena Carnevale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Carnevale Vladuchek, parents, Katherine and Nickolas Vladuchek, in-laws, Domenic and Angelina Carnevale, his siblings, and most of his childhood friends.
He is survived by his son, James and daughter-in-law, Mary; grandson, Michael and wife, Andrea Civello; great-granddaughter, Emmie Civello; granddaughter, Cara-Lee Vladuchek and husband, Ryan; brother-in-law, Jack Mihalsky; sister-in-law, Diane Carnevale; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Salmon River Crew.
With sincere hearts we would like to thank his many friends and neighbors for the love they gave Walter. God’s blessings be with all of you.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7000 Morning Star Drive, The Colony, Texas 75056, on Friday, December 11, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joy Joseph, TOR presiding. Inurnment will be held at St Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.
