Wallace Larry Nichols, age 79, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 9, 2009. He was born December 21, 1929 in Kemp, Oklahoma to Clyde and Nettye (Wilson) Nichols. On November 1, 1963 Wallace married Norma Simmons in Denison, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Wallace was a member of High Pointe Church of Christ. He was a former member of Thomas Street Church of Christ in Altus, Oklahoma where he served as a Deacon. He is survived by his wife, Norma of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Sheryl Doornbos and husband, Scott of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Nicole Alexander and husband, Dwayne of McKinney; grandchildren, Madison Doornbos and Jamison Doornbos, Kristina Alexander and Braydon Alexander; brothers, Ernie Nichols of Quinlan, Texas and Lyndon Nichols of Kemp, Oklahoma; sisters, Wilma Hatfield of Dallas, Texas, Rheva Wells of Kemp, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Nettye Nichols; son, Ross Wilson Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Brother Stephen Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Denison, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
