W K Gant, Jr. age 89, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 22, 2009. He was born October 9, 1919 in McKinney, Texas to Willie Karr Gant, Sr. and Georgia Mae Gant. On September 30, 1939 he married Vivian Pauline Ramey in Collin County. W K proudly served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Gant; son, Ron Gant and wife, Liz of Denison, Texas; daughter, Paula Gant Lewis and husband, Ron of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Brad Gant and wife, Christy of Celina, Texas, Kyle Gant and wife, Shawn of Melissa, Texas, Jennifer Deaton and husband, Mike of Frisco, Texas, Alison Webb and husband, Chant of Prosper, Texas; great-grandchildren, Briana Gant, Carissa Gant, Priscilla Gant, Ethan Gant, Michaela Deaton, Kaitlyn Deaton and Jaxon Webb; sister, Ona Mae Jerecka of Sherman, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Weldon, Melvin, Welborn, Clarence, Clyde, Ray and his grandchild, Chad Gant. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
