Virginia "Jeanie" Ruth Rousar (McCutchen), 78, of Garland, TX, passed away on December 27, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 17, 1941 to parents Joe Wheeler and Leila Ella McCutchen in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Jeanie spent her early years at Texas Instruments (TI) where she worked for 15 years. She then spent another 20 years working for the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center. Jeanie was an avid supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. She spent several years as the Ladies Auxiliary President at the VFW Bois D ’Arc post 9167 in Princeton, Texas.
After retirement, Jeanie cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as long as that time didn’t interrupt her Mavericks, Rangers or Dallas Cowboys! She sometimes forgot people’s names, but never what time her teams came on. Her all-time favorite Holiday was Christmas and we were blessed to have her with us this year.
Virginia "Jeanie" is survived by daughter, Missy Chandler and husband, Jon of Rowlett, Texas; daughters, Roxi Mills and Tammy Durrett, both of Garland, Texas. Jeanie was a loving Granny to Cheri Whitelock, Casey Durrett, Joshua Mills and Derrick Mills and Nana to Savannah Chandler and Toby Chandler; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, TJ and Gene McCutchen; sister, Lucille Riddle; and nephew, Donnie McCutchen.
We know she is at Peace in Heaven with Family, Friends and a ton of cherished pets.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
