Virginia Craig Carley

Age 81, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on September 30, 2007 in Frisco, Texas. She was born on August 21, 1926 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charles F. and Pearl (Allen) Craig. Virginia graduated from Handley High School in Fort Worth in 1943 and attended North Texas Agricultural College, now know as UT-Arlington. She obtained B.S. and M.s. degrees from Texas A&I College, now known as Texas A&M – Kingsville. Virginia worked for 11 years as a Middle School Science Teacher in Kingsville, Texas, as a psychometrist in Corpus Christi and as a guidance counselor in the Garland School Districe for 14 years. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Women’s Educational Society. Virginia and Ted have lived in Carrollton for the last thirteen years. The Carley family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Regency Hospital in Carrollton, Odyssey Health Care Hospice and Prairie Estates in Frisco for their service and care during her last months. Virginia is survived by her husband of 63 years William Ted Carley; sons, Bill Carley and his wife, Lisa of Mililani, Hawaii, Gary Carley and wife, Wanda of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Kent Carley of Denton, Kimberly Carley Bowman and husband, Walker; great-grandsons, Will and Sam Bowman, all of Little Rock, Arkansas. A Private Family Service was held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Frisco Education Foundation, PO Box 567, Frisco TX 75034.
