Virgil Edward Wall

Virgil Edward Wall of McKinney, Texas passed away January 14, 2018, at the age of 88.  He was born May 16, 1929, to Herman Wall and Effie Moore in Grayson County, Texas. Virgil married Adela M. Urriza on October 6, 1987, in McKinney, Texas.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army for seven years at the end of WWII and during the Korean Conflict. Virgil established the Coppell Police Department in Coppell, Texas where he served as a Police Chief. He was a Deputy Sheriff for  Dallas County while working for the Dallas Fire Department where he  worked from 1956-1988 and earned rank of a Battalion Chief. 

Virgil is survived by his wife, Adela M. Wall of McKinney, Texas; son, Stewart Wall and wife Glee of Parker, Texas; and grandchildren, Joy and Joshua Wall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Effie Wall and siblings, Faye, Mattie, Billy, Ann, Betty, Ernest, and Glen.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Williams Cemetery (MT Olive) in McKinney, Texas (Hwy 75; Eldorado Pkwy W; Hardin Blvd N 1 block; Quail Hollow W; cemetery at end of Quail Hollow).  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
