Violita Majarucon Corbita

Violita Majarucon Corbita, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 85, just days shy of her 86th birthday. She was born on April 2, 1939, in Sagay, Negros Occidental, Philippines, to Julio D. Majarucon and Concepcion Z. Villaflor.

In September 1956, Violita married the love of her life, Dominador P. Corbita, in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. Together, they built a life centered around family and faith. Violita devoted herself to caring for her loved ones, creating a nurturing home filled with love and compassion.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Violita was an active member of the Christian Missionary Alliance, where she found strength and community. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family. She is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

Violita is survived by sons, Daniel Corbita and wife, Catherine of Allen, Texas, Diomedes Corbita and wife, Arlene of Ottawa, Canada, and Din Corbita and wife, Florence of Cebu, Philippines; daughters, Mirabel Barriga and husband, Judato of Anna, Texas and Glena Credo and husband, Philippe of Chicago, Illinois; granddaughters, Judeamir Malibiran and husband, Nick of Brisbane, Australia, Jessan Kay Oledan and husband, Ephraim of Anna, Texas, Danica Corbita of New York City, New York, and Danelle Corbita of Allen, Texas; grandsons, Philippe Credo, II of Chicago, Illinois, Josh Corbita of Cebu, Philippines, and John Corbita, also of Cebu, Philippines; great grandchildren, Noah and Olivia of Brisbane, Australia, and Theodore of Anna, Texas; brothers, Emmanuel Majarucon, Jesus Majarucon, and Elenoel Majarucon all of the Philippines; sister Amelita Galano, also of the Philippines; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Dominador Corbita; daughter, Melinde Hauke; parents, Julio and Concepcion Majarucon; brother, Noli Majarucon; and sister, Consolacion Dequiña.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
