Violet May Dugar of Fairview, Texas passed away November 9, 2017, at the age of 94. She was born December 31, 1922, to Leo Robert Doremus and Isabell (Patterson) Doremus in Cleveland, Ohio. Violet married Salvatore Spino on November 9, 1940, in Cleveland. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1979. In 1975, she moved to Texas where she married Vincent Frank Dugar on January 31, 1983 in Plano, Texas. Together, they loved to travel and enjoyed going on cruises. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2006. Violet was most passionate about spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Beatrice Berndt and husband Terry of Fairview, Texas; son, Frank Spino and wife Donna of Arkansas; grandchildren, Becky White and husband Steve of Allen, Texas, Stacy Hamilton and husband Sean of Allen, Texas, and Elena Turner and husband Brent also of Allen, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her husbands, Salvatore Spino and Vincent Frank Dugar, parents, and sisters, Irene Miller and Dorothy Armstrong.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas 75002. Interment will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio at a later date. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
