Viola “Vi” Marcella Fisher passed away October 22. 2022 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 92. She was born to Henry John and Johanna (Theis) Faeth on February 21, 1930.
Born in New Riegel, Ohio and grew up in Fostoria, Ohio, Vi was the youngest of 8 kids. She graduated from St. Windelin Catholic School in 1948.After graduation she worked as an inspector at a Jeep factory. After coming down to Biloxi, Mississippi with a friend, she met her husband, Bob Fisher. The two married on October 4, 1952 and spent the next 70 years together. Shortly after the marriage they moved to Oil Center, New Mexico. There they raised their 4 kids. Robert Joe was their first child, followed by Rex Alan, Mark Edward, and Debra Ann. Viola was a good mother to her kids. She always did her best to raise upstanding citizens as kids, even when they pushed back. Viola was a great cook and always made sure her family was well fed and happy. Every year Vi and family went back to Ohio to visit relatives and friends. Their travels took them all over the USA. They went to Branson, Missouri, Arizona, Yosemite, and many other fun trips. Viola loved her family and took the time and made sure she got to sit in the rocking chair with her grandkids, something they all got to enjoy.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Fisher of McKinney, Texas; son, Robert Fisher and wife, Pam of Lake Fork, Texas; son, Rex Fisher and wife, Linda of Houston, Texas; son, Mark Fisher and wife, Amber of Eunice, New Mexico; daughter, Debbie Gilliam and husband, Tommy of Princeton, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous other loving friends and family.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lorena Roth, Marie Regan, Rita Zalas, Helen Kromer, and brothers, George, Alvin and Anthony Faeth.
